Summer Term 2023
'Around the World in 80 Days'
Shwmae! All aboard Plas airlines! This term, we will be exploring climate, change, culture and diversity in Turkey and Iran. We will have lots of fun learning about the cultures and traditions of these countries. We will be inspired by Islamic art and create our own geometric patterns through expressive arts. We will discover how to use painting and printing techniques.
In our writing journey, we will be learning how to write a diary, newspaper report and biography. In Mathematics, we will be learning how to tell the time, subtract using a column and how to calculate area and perimeter. In science and technology, we will be learning about human impact on our world and applying all of our database skills on the chrome books.
Spring Term 2023
'Knights, Castles and Dragons!'
Shwmae! This term, we will be exploring conflict and co-operation during the iron age and Celts. We will have lots of fun learning about the Celt Warriors and recreate our own battles through expressive arts. We will discover the daily life of a Celt and learn how to create clothing using a loom.
In our writing journey, we will be learning how to write a poem, narrative and recount. In Mathematics, we will be learning how to find fractions of numbers and be learning all about angles. In science and technology, we will be learning about sound and applying all of our coding skills that we learnt last term.
